Tatenda Blessing Muchiriri

Tatenda Blessing Muchiriri, Executive Director of Montessori on Wheels and former DPS Montessori teacher, believes deeply in the philosophy that “it takes a village to raise a child.” Originally from Zimbabwe, Tatenda discovered Montessori education in Beijing before migrating to the U.S., where he taught in both private and public schools in Denver. His experiences at Stedman Elementary, where he engaged with diverse student populations, inspired his commitment to educational equity, especially for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.

Driven by the “it takes a village” approach, Tatenda founded Montessori on Wheels to bring quality Montessori education directly to underserved neighborhoods. He sees community engagement as essential to student success and works closely with parents, empowering them to advocate for their children’s education.
