Pat Donovan (he/him) brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience in education, business, and operations. As the Managing Partner at RootED, Pat led school investment and operations initiatives, work that will continue in his role with Denver Families. Prior to that, he served on the executive leadership team at Revolution Foods, where he oversaw national school and community partnerships, driving operations, account management, and business development in markets across the U.S. His leadership background also includes roles as Vice President at Aon-Hewitt, the world’s largest human capital consulting firm, and at Vail Resorts, where he managed guest services, finance, marketing, sales, retail, food and beverage, and human capital for the national club division.
Pat is deeply committed to education advocacy in Colorado. He currently serves on the boards of the Colorado League of Charter Schools, Colorado Succeeds, KIPP Colorado, and Rocky Mountain Prep, and previously served on the board of Catapult School Leadership. He also contributed as a member of the Eagle County School District Board and as a Finance Committee member at The GrowHaus.
Pat holds a degree in Business from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, as well as a graduate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the same institution. He and his wife are proud parents of three DPS graduates—Kaitlyn, Max, and Sean.
