Jessie Jennett (she/her) is a Community Organizer in Central and Southeast Denver. She is a passionate advocate for education equity, dedicated to centering student and community voices in systemic change.
Jessie began her career as a youth organizer in Jeffco, successfully transitioning to advocacy in Denver Public Schools where she helped lead a student mental health campaign. This effort led to a counseling pilot program, which was later affirmed by Denver voters through a bond and mill. She continues to support and equip families, educators, and community members to advocate around issues they deeply care about within the public school system.
Her commitment to equity is also reflected in her work promoting leadership, having served as an Ignite Fellow preparing young women for public service and working to elect diverse women across Colorado. Jessie’s background is also grounded in direct student support from her time as a TRIO Success Coach at Front Range Community College, where she provided holistic academic and career coaching to first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities.
