Anita Banuelos has over 14 years of experience in civic and educational advocacy, engaging diverse communities, government, and nonprofits. She excels in strategic communications, planning, and community awareness. Her expertise in advocacy and governmental affairs includes project management, facilitation, and improving equity in marginalized communities. As a senior legislative aide to a former Denver City Council member, Anita provided expert guidance to enhance residents’ lives. She has also been involved in Denver Public Schools, using her experience as an alumna to support families and schools. In 2024, she received the Community Impact Award from Denver Kids, Inc. Anita currently serves as Director of Community Organizing at Transform Education Now.
