Founded in 2020, Denver Families Action is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting the voices of public school families, educators, and community members across Denver. We believe every child deserves a high-quality public education that nurtures their potential and prepares them to thrive.
We develop and support the next generation of education advocates and leaders through hands-on training and leadership programs that empower families, educators, and community members to shape the future of public education. During DPS Board of Education election seasons, we mobilize community members through our Actioneers program to engage voters and elevate education issues at the doors. As part of this work, we also endorse school board candidates who share our commitment to educational equity, student success, and meaningful community engagement.
In addition to candidate endorsements, we also publicly support key education policies, initiatives and ballot measures. These endorsements are grounded in what we hear directly from families, educators and community members, ensuring our advocacy reflects real needs and lived experiences. By taking clear, values-driven positions on critical issues, we aim to drive systemic change and hold leaders accountable to the communities they serve.
